Hello everyone My name is Bruce Singleton.
I am a crafter, I make and sell Silk Floral designs, Tie Die T- Shirts, Nature Photography as well as Portraits. I also bake and sell Gourmet Cookies and Caramel corn. I am here to propose to you the idea of having a local artists & crafters network. A network where people can share ideas, information, have all kinds of craft worksops and business and investment workshops as well. We can share news on up coming vendor events, contacts and so on. I want to start a network with the main goal is increasing the sales of all the members, because that is what we all want is to sell more, right?. I want to start this network in Philadelphia, and I want to do so to build my business and the businesses of all the members who join the network. I also want for us to learn new crafts from each other and making new friends along the way and to have fun.
With this network I would like to start a Home Show program, where small groups of Artists & crafters about 3 people per group, go to different homes where the owner agrees to be a host for a home show, and the crafters sell their crafts. We would all keep in touch through a website where we can share ideas and make plans and brain storm. I found a free community website that any one can start and every time someone adds something to the website everyone is alerted with an e-mail which sounds cool to me.
Another big goal that I would like to see happen is to have a big Arts and craft Show at a major hall in Philadelphia where everyone can come and see it. I want to have that at October 2009, right before the shopping season and before it gets cold. So what do you think? Please give me some feed back and suggestions if you will.
Another reason for me wanting a network is to build a massive city wide advertising DVD project that you can sell to your customers. Everyone who views the DVDs will see all the works of all the members of the network.
This will be a open network where anyone can join with goals of increasing their business, sharing, gaining valuable information and making new friends with fellow artists and Crafters. Any one interested in joining this network please contact me ASAP so we can get started constructing a great busines network.
There will ba a free Orientation to explain the program in full at the Cafe on the 2nd fl. in Barnes and Nobles book store at 18th and walnut sts. in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. at 10:00 am on the 18th of October 2008
